Winning at the Finish Line
Starting a piece of writing is one thing, but how do you finish it? How do you find the stamina to see your creative project all the way through? And what makes for a satisfying and surprising ending? How do you conclude in a way that blows everyone away (editors, agents, and readers alike)?

In this one-day course, we’ll examine how a variety of world-class writers approach endings in their own work. We’ll look across a range of genres (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry) to consider various stylistic techniques that you might apply yourselves. We’ll also experiment with some generative prompts, so we'll leave the course with fresh writing. And importantly, we’ll motivate each other in our respective journeys across the finish line.
