Writing & Meditation
Writing & Meditation
A single-session workshop. This intensive explores practical ways in which meditation can support your writing practice. The session is structured around a series of short meditations, writing exercises, and discussion.
Through an introduction to mindfulness and breath meditation, students learn ways to develop intention, subdue their inner critic, and set aside doubt, anxiety, and other unskillful mind states to learn to write from the heart. The goal is to help students cultivate a positive and joyful relationship to their writing practice.
This workshop is open to both beginner and advanced writers of any form who are curious about the use of meditation in their writing process. No previous meditation experience is necessary.
Saturday, March 23, 2024 10:00am to 2:00pm EST, On Campus
Who should take this class?
Anyone interested in learning how meditation can support your writing practice. Anyone who has experienced writer's block, imposter syndrome, distraction while writing, or an overactive internal critic.
